How does it work?
- Students can buy a power bank from the machines at a favourable price and swap empty power banks for full ones in a simple exchange procedure - the University of Vienna will cover the costs of the exchange.
- Students of the University of Vienna only need their valid u:card for the exchange process.
- With the power bank, smartphones, tablets or notebooks can be charged at any time and as often as necessary.
Where are the Powerbank vending machines?
There are machines at the following locations:
- 2x in the main building (Audimax Passage)
- 2 x at the Juridicum (ground floor and 1st basement)
- Lecture hall centre on campus
- and at the NIG (ground floor)

How does the swapping process work?
The exchange process is simple, straightforward, requires no data and takes less than 30 seconds. Normally, an exchange process costs a maximum of € 2. For students of the University of Vienna, the exchange process with the u:card is free of charge.

The SWITCH Powerbank can be purchased directly from the Powerbank vending machines for € 50.
