Vegetarian and vegan cafeteria in the Lia Bistro

The LIA-Bistro im hUBB has been open since October 2024 and offers one vegetarian and one vegan dish daily for 5.70 euros each. The decision in favour of a meat-free canteen reflects the university's commitment to sustainability and enables a significant reduction in the carbon footprint.

The canteen is operated by Lia Coffee, which can already be found at three other locations in Vienna.

The University of Vienna is endeavouring to contribute to a more ecologically sustainable food offering and to make it easier for its students and staff to opt for plant-based nutrition. Purely vegan and vegetarian providers are being sought for new cafeteria locations that are being leased.

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 to 17:00 (hot meals from 11:30 to 14:00)
• Meals: vegetarian or vegan, €5.70 each (canteen sticker of the ÖH is valid)
