Law students of other universities
Prospective students who are/were admitted to a jurisprudential degree programme and have passed exams worth 60 ECTS points are exempted from the entrance exam procedure for the diploma programme in Law. These 60 ECTS points have to be recognisable for compulsory or elective subjects of the diploma programme in Law of the University of Vienna. By means of this list (in German), you can check beforehand if you have enough recognisable ECTS points.
- Step 1: E-mail to the SSC Law
Send your transcript(s) of records that prove the 60 ECTS and a scan of your personal ID by e-mail to anerkennung.rewi@univie.ac.at until 29 January 2025 at latest. At the time of submission, you must already have completed these 60 ECTS.
After a close evaluation of your documents, you will receive a confirmation by the StudiesServiceCenter Law by e-mail, provided you fulfil the requirements.
If the submitted documents do not prove that you have recognisable achievements of at least 60 ECTS, you will receive a notification by e-mail as well. In this case you have to participate in the entrance exam procedure for the diploma programme Law at the next possible time. - Step 2: Create your u:account
Create your u:account in u:space until 5 February 2025 at the latest. Make sure you remember the login data, because you will further need the u:account during your studies. Log in to u:space and complete the registration. - Step 3: Apply through the Servicedesk
Submit the confirmation you've received by the StudienServiceCenter Law together with a scan of the documents required for admission to the degree programme as one PDF-file via the Servicedesk of the University of Vienna until 5 February 2025 at the latest. You will receive further information by e-mail.
