Romance Studies (Master)
The master’s programme in Romance Studies prepares students for a career as cultural and linguistic mediator in the Romance cultural regions. Therefore, the programme equips students with competences in a first Romance language, corresponding to native-speaker level, as well as profound knowledge of a second Romance language. In addition, it imparts a wide range of job-related knowledge and competences in the area of linguistics, literature, media studies and regional studies.

The master’s programme consists of the compulsory modules Linguistics and Literature, First Romance Language Acquisition, Second Romance Language, as well as alternative groups of compulsory modules for Academic Emphasis. To successfully complete the master’s programme, students have to complete the Final Module, the Master’s Thesis and the Master’s Examination.
