The bachelor’s programme in Nutritional Sciences provides students with a multidisciplinary academic education in the field of nutritional sciences. Students acquire competences that enable them to deal with academic and practical problems arising from the relation between nutrition and people. The first phase of the degree programme focuses on principles of natural sciences, followed by a comprehensive academic pre-professional education.

Study programme

The bachelor’s programme in Nutritional Sciences consists of the following modules: Introductory and Orientation Period (STEOP) (dietetics, chemistry); compulsory modules in the fields of chemistry, food safety, human nutrition, principles of medicine and biochemistry, general and molecular biology, public health nutrition and dietetics; and alternative compulsory modules (Quality Management, Community Nutrition, Advanced Botany, Molecular Nutritiony, Nutrition Ecology, Basics of Economics). To successfully complete the programme, students have to write a bachelor’s thesis.
